Caveat: This is a civilizational diagnostic to offer due context, and not be read as accusation.

Well, when such assumption is examined with multiple methods per the above medical-grade examples through the passage of time over various cultural history records, a different reality emerges. The seemingly apparent religiocultural condition of people around the world was not evolutionary. Several religio-cultures like ours were severely disrupted and usurped, militarily & violently, covertly at times, and sometimes militarily first with missionaries and mullahs in tow.

Across the world, original traditions from Austronesian, Berber, Buddhist, Egyptian, Hellenic, HinduVedic, Punic, Mesopotamian, Roman, Zarathushtrish, and others were not gently succeeded. They were supplanted, often abruptly, through conquest, forced conversion, temple destruction, persecution, legal pressure, or statemandated religious realignment.

Asia, Americas, Africa, Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Egypt, Europe, Greece, Indonesia, Italy, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Syria, etc., were not as you see them.

So that nothing is overlooked (just like an unwell person will not like their doctor overlooking the patient’s illness), it is emphasized that from Africa to the Levant, from Central Asia to the Indonesian archipelago, the natural religiocultural condition of countless peoples was not replaced by organic evolution. The process was via systematic displacement of ancestral traditions through conquest, state power, and enforced religious realignment.

The world we see today, be it as a demographic, cultural or religious, is not the natural inheritance of humanity. It is the much altered afterimage of a global cycle of usurpation that reshaped the world map, wiping out countless millions or leaving distorted survivors who are a shadow of their past, like us.

This is the global pattern and process of cultural disappearances and it is identified,

• Not to present victimhood, but to be contemplated as part of Conscience Self-Check. No different from when you are suffering and that over and above medical reports, you will narrate to the medical staff, how and where you feel your issues.
• To present the voices of diminished or extinct cultures which fell silent, but yet, that they are not forgotten for the lessons they left behind.

In other words,

• India’s original ancient Vedic based culture was repeatedly overrun by invaders
• Iran’s original ancient Religio-Culture was just about destroyed and remains in perilous state
• Indonesia’s Austronesian and HinduBuddhist traditions were displaced.
• Afghanistan’s Zarathushti and Buddhist heritage was erased.
• Bangladesh’s HinduBuddhist matrix was replaced.
• Egypt’s millenniaold Kemetic religion was extinguished.
• Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco lost their Berber and Punic traditions.
• Greece and Italy lost their ancestral practices through statedriven Christianisation.
• Lebanon, Syria, Iraq (all non-Arab) lost their Canaanite, Phoenician, and Mesopotamian identities through state-driven Islamisation which Europe and the UK/Ireland are heading to.

In short, some are extinct, some have no continuous lineage, some have no surviving priesthood or language, some are no longer in their original state and no longer reflect their ancient form.

Hopefully, you understand that our ParsiIrani religio-culture is not merely a micro-minority. It is not an isolated anomaly. It is a miraculous survivor of the same forces that erased entire civilizations. It is one of the last surviving witnesses of a world that has otherwise been overwritten a few times whilst other original cultures became extinct.

Even though we appear to have survived thus far, the dynamics that erased others are the same as those that displaced us. i.e. Loss of ancestral homeland, erosion of internal fidelity, undue pressure to assimilate, and vulnerability to demographic overwhelm which many of our brethren do not see despite same elements erasing other entire civilizations.

The difference is simply this: We are alive but shamefully, a receding shadow of a glorious past. But because we are alive, we can name the extinction pattern that billions of others never lived long enough to articulate.

And this initiative is a reminder that we are at the very centre of that civilizational wound. If we do not ‘exercise’ vigil by treating the wound and ‘exercising’ as is necessary to live, that wound could be fatal.

It is time to read the medical reports pertaining to our religio-culture to see how we reached such pathetic a state of health and what could we do to not be extinct.

To that cause, this Save Parsi & Irani initiative is thus a kind of mirror, or a mental & physical health-check for each person claiming to be Parsi or Irani Zarathushti. It shows degradation has been happening and which needs important & urgent remedial, which some of our brethren have been lax with.
