About Us

This Foundation is dedicated to the Conservation of our historically-acclaimed Religio-Culture; no different to any other conservation endeavour to save and protect that which is precious or rare, but is at risk. The difference is that this Conservation is an expression of the Civilizational Duty which our lineage carries from every example of our Ancestors repeatedly rising to defend the integrity of their Zarathushtrish realm, of which each of you are precious and rare descendants as explained below.

Thus, this is no ordinary “About Us” page.  It is, “ABOUT ALL OF US” who are of Mazdayasni Zarathushti Parsi or Irani Heritage, and what our responsibility really is, toward the deep meaning of our Original Religio-Cultural Identity and its Civilizational Structural Architecture.

Without exercising personal and collective responsibility to remedy the pattern occurring across our people of disregarding or omitting our Ancestors’ time‑honoured wisdom from present‑day choices and decisions, we risk forfeiting both our Personal Footing and our Civilizational Foundation. Such a loss would prove detrimental to each of us, and this Foundation is expressly established to avert it.

Given we are facing a Civilizational Inflection Point, where contrary to those doing their best to conserve whatever civilizational aspects that can be preserved, some people appear wanting to be proselytizing missionaries and some inclined to agitation and disruption, it has become essential to clarify the pathway that most constructively safeguards sacred continuity.

One cannot hope to "reform" a long-standing organized system or structure without first learning to be accountable within it. No one can safeguard a heritage which they have not first learnt to serve with discipline and respect.

Therefore, this website's role is to be deeply informative (see Site Map tab for helpful orientation); The Foundation endeavours to provide eye-opening, multi-faceted referencing from "interconnected", historical and scriptural precedent or scholarly rationale to arouse a "Renaissance-level Awakening" which can ensure Cohesive Communal Sustainability.   Let us stick to our knitting and remain in our own lane without grandiosely trying to compete with other expansionist ideologies. Let us not fake name-sake lip-service to show concern for a diminished corpus when we well know it is brought about by the mutinous among us!

The only rational pathway to resolve mutinious divisiveness is Education. i.e. Broader learning at one’s own pace, encompassing a panoramic grasp of history, scriptures, spirituality, customs/traditions, personal prayer & liturgical commitments, respect for our time-honored canons and institutions in context of the institution of matrimony, etc., so that the system which birthed us, continues to live, and not unwittingly die at our own hands.

As things are currently, our Civilization is just about at the equivalaent of being in ICU state. The Good News is.

“Protect the habitat, and the species will survive.”

“When the eco-system is strengthened, every part thrives with it.”

“Conserve the whole, and everything within it has a chance to flourish.” (see Ecosystem tab)

Then, based on such merit, reasonable people can reach common-ground by "recognizing meaning and purpose before reacting".   As for the unreasonable, who keep asking “where is it written” or playing the d’s advocate, there are now well over 150 reference points & questions. Hopefully they realise it is actually noble to advocate for coherence and continuity of the principles which have sustained our civilization across generations. (see vertical folios on The Why tab.)

In the end, each of us must answer to The Maker, and the d’s advocate card carries no merit with The Maker. D isn't your Maker, and The Maker doesn't need d's advocacy. The Maker will be happy when you advocate Goodwill of the type prescribed right through our scriptures. So watch-out whom you stand for. M or d!

Accordingly, all of the insights provided herein set out to resolve the incessant recycling of contrived contentious intra-communal clatter and experimentation, both of which have not at all been constructive. For much too long now, uninformed opinions and decisions have been propelling our already fragile community towards extinction at an increasingly faster rate. Extinction, because the current trajectory of our community is not sustainable, God Forbid. And which is why many references of extinction are provided on this website as it is more than "About Time" that all of us Parsi Irani fully wake up.

Why?   Because YOU as Parsi or Irani are immensely precious and rare, more than you would have ever thought of yourself to be.

At approximately 30years to a generation, you are about the 85th Link in an Ethnic Ancestral chain of a Spiritual-Religio-Cultural Faith carried forward since the Persian Empire of the Achaemenian dynasty of Kings Kurosh and Daryush (Cyrus & Darius), 5 centuries before Christ. And prior to that are even more innumerable Links connecting you to our Prophet Zarathushtra’s era.   A Prophet representing exceptional wisdom.

It would hence be honourable on YOUR part to never forget that you are linked to several of those Ancestral Links (living people like you) who were so Loyal to our Religion, that they sacrificed themselves to protect it.  Greeks/Macedonians, Romans/Christians, Arabs, Mongols, Turks and Afghanis, all tried various levels of ethnic cleansing to convert our Ancestry out of our Zarathushtrish Faith or marry into it, so as take over our immensely wealthy Ancestral Iran, but despite immense suffering, our Ancestors fought valiantly and outlived all invaders. (Until betrayed by recent and past generations of our own.)

YOU are effectively the civilizational progeny (child/offspring) of those who in todays’ terms would be decorated Veterans, and thus this article speaks not to you alone, but as if your Veteran Ancestors are witnessing you grasping your unparalleled honorable lineage. Even if you had not realized it earlier, you represent miraculous continuity of history rooted in our Faith’s antiquity across Iran & India.

Unbeknown to YOU, you carry in YOUR genes a uniquely evolved story, shaped resolutely by your Forebears and entrusted to you in the hope that YOU & YOUR children too will emulate yours & our collective ancestry’s nobility, by ensuring This Special Lineage’s "Original time-tested Identity" is reverently preserved and protected from erosion.

Sadly though, such sacred Originality and Identity are at threat from within our own people, unlike past external threats. Consequently our Religio-Culture now perches precariously between significance and extinction, depending on how we “treat” it. i.e. whether our responsible reverence strengthens it, or apathy & recklessness destroy it. God forbid, not at your hands, not on your watch, not with your complacency, complicity or culpability!

Therefore, several "lightbulb moments" and “wake-me-ups” are offered throughout this website to raise collective responsibility at recognising we are heading towards extinction unless we take proactive interconnected remedial action; not in isolation and not without looking at the whole picture. Whilst some appreciable work is being done in some areas by organizations and well-spirited individuals, the state of our (globally-scattered) nation is not at all healthy. Numbers do not lie.

For context, if you were a director or manager who realized that your skills and those of your team are inadequate to keep your organisation solvent, then you would have to place it under "administration" so that better-informed professionals navigate it out of its insolvency crisis to avert bankruptcy, which in culturally equivalent terms, means extinction. God Forbid.

That the Government of India stepped-in to recognize Dr. Shernaz Cama's foresight with the Parzor Foundation to slow the demographic decline of the Parsi community is a clear indication that the community is, in effect, in the socio‑cultural equivalent of nearing insolvency. Its "book-keeping" shows signs of having suffered apathy, arrogance, ignorance, negligence, and failure to act with due accountabilty, care and diligence.

Many of its trustees, laity (and even some clergy) have ignored the "best practices" prescribed in our "holy books", attempted to re-invent the wheel without essential skills, tried new formulas without formal scrutiny, made unapproved alliances, and unwittingly caused a serios deficit which is inflicting grievous harm on our Sacred Religio-Culture, and worst, that so many people are not realizing it.

Overlayed in the real world, such leaders would not be re‑elected and such managers or directors would not be re‑hired, because no constituency or board tolerates leadership that "irresponsibly" presides over avoidable decline.

Accordingly, one of the purposes of the Foundation is to encourage all our brethren to remove “malware” and update their “software,” so they we can altogether "treat" our Religio‑Culture with the "responsible" care it deserves instead of the irresponsible way in which it is being treated by so many of our people.

As YOU may now introspect what to do on your part, it may be worth considering the example of Dr. Jonas Salk who saved billions of children and likely you, from polio. He refused to be tempted by money and did not patent the polio vaccine he made, foregoing so many things he could have done with the money, fame and power.

Asked why,   Dr Salk responded   “OUR GREATEST RESPONSIBILITY IS TO BE GOOD ANCESTORS.”,   as if just about distilling the nectar from all our ancestral precedents and scriptures.

So, could YOU TOO now embody Dr Salk's "inter-generational responsibility principle" to save our Religio-Culture by making the effort to appreciate it better? Because the panacea of ancient wisdom is now in your hands, at your finger-tips, in front of your eyes.
