Message to Youth.
Dear Young Parsi & Irani Mazdayasni Zarathushti Girls & Boys, Young Women & Men, Mothers/GrandMothers and Fathers/GrandFathers to be,
This letter is here for you, for a time will come when you will become an elder and eventually become an ancestor, and how will you have been?
For the curiosities and energy of your youth, this page unlike nothing you may read, will introduce to you something powerful: the strength of conscience, clarity, and self-mastery. The inner forces that can guide your choices with dignity and purpose, especially when it comes to love and marriage and parenthood.
Let’s begin with a question that seriously matters:
Would you choose just anyone who says yes to you or persuades you
or
would you choose someone who truly respects your future?
Someone who honors your journey and is willing to consider the timeless wisdom of Prophet Zarathushtra, as shared in Yasna 53.5 and the beautiful Vahishtoishti Gatha.
How about such a principle becoming part of your wedding vows
with a fellow Zarathushti who too can relate to it as you can?
“I say (these) words to you, maidens and bridegrooms.
Impress them in your mind.
May you two enjoy the life of good mind
by following the laws of our Religion.
Let each one of you clothe the other with Righteousness.
Then assuredly there will be a happy life for you ”.
These aren’t just ancient words. They’re living truths, and with respect, far deeper than anything your parents or grandparents may have ever heard or known.
And they’re here for you now, ready to light your path.
Hopefully our Prophet’s intellect arouses your conscience, as also perhaps the following appeal.
O Dear Precious Parsi & Irani Youth,
You are not ordinary.
You are Youth of a Religio-Cultural lineage that is older than empires.
You are not random.
You are not just another person in a world of eight billion.
You are the proud descendants of heroic survivors,
survivors of ethnic cleansing & genocides, persecution & usurpation,
survivors of a history that many tried to erase but ultimately could not prevail.
Your very existence is statistically extraordinary – an amazing miracle in the turbulence of time
If even one of your family’s ancestor had faltered,
if even one link in the chain had broken,
you would not be here in the bodily form that your soul resides in.
You are even more precious than you think. There’s fewer than 50,000 of you left on this planet.
That is not a community. That is an endangered species. When a people are this few, every one of you matters.
Every choice matters.
Every generation matters.
Every marriage within our precious Religio-Culture matters,
because it ensures the continuity of that unbroken heritage. This is not about judging anyone.
This is not about closing doors or closing hearts. This is not about superiority. This is about continuity of a precious people, you and your future generations
This is about responsible stewardship.
This is about understanding that your identity is not a costume — it is a victory story. You were born naked. You will die naked. But between those two moments, you carry something sacred:Your Parsi Irani identity,Your exceptional heritage, Your story of strength to resist temptation. And the question before you is simple:
Will the story continue with you,or will it end with you betraying this yet unbroken lineage
by stepping into cross-cultural relationships which will not sustain your story? You are the youngest guardians of the oldest light.
You are the bridge between what was and what can still be.
You are the future of a people who refused to disappear. But if you betray our ancestry or forget, the story ends with you.
If you remember, the amazing survivors’ story continues
through you and your future generations,
for only then can they truly
be identifiable as being Parsi or Irani Mazdayasni Zarathushti
as attested in every scripture
.
No other version exists of Parsi-Irani who stepped out
and who got recorded.
Stand tall in that truth. Know your worth.
Honour the flame that reached you all the way from history through your ancestry.
Ensure it remains lit between Zarathushti people who are entrusted to guard it.
You pledge your mind to our Prophet & His Teachings through Endogamy.
Ashem Vohu ’s Intellect will help you.
It is the moral heartbeat of Zarathushtrian thought. It expresses three core ideas:
1. Asha is the highest good
Asha means truth, righteousness, cosmic order, and moral clarity. The prayer declares that nothing is higher than living in alignment with Asha.
2. Happiness comes from righteousness alone
Not pleasure, not convenience, not popularity — but the inner joy that arises when one’s conscience is clean and aligned with truth.
3. The righteous person benefits all creation
A person who lives by Asha uplifts others, protects the community, and strengthens the world. Righteousness is not private; it radiates outward.
You will have lived to no higher purpose.
Thank you for your consideration.
It strengthens your bond, makes you overcome obstacles, protects your long-term peace, and ensures that the legacy you inherited — the one your ancestors protected for thousands of years — not only survives, but thrives through you.
Choose with intention.
Choose someone who honours your roots and your future because they have the same roots.
Choose someone who helps you replicate & continue the honorable lineage you were born into.
A call for action if you like.
As mentioned in ‘About’, You are the living link in a 3,500 ‑ year ‑ old chain. Choose someone who honours your faith, your family, and your future, and watch how beautifully life unfolds. Quarrels invariably spare no couple, but cultural common-ground and similar religious beliefs are your guardrails.
Choose a spouse who helps you keep such amazing light alive, for yourself, for your children, and for the generations who will one day look back at you with gratitude and say, What a Great Ancestor you were.
PS
Take a moment to look around you.
Life moves quickly, and youth — as vibrant and exciting as it is, passes faster than we realise.
Bodies change from beautiful & handsome to not as beautiful & handsome anymore,
priorities evolve, and what truly matters becomes clearer with time.
Many times lust & love just fly out the window when things get rough.
That’s why choosing a partner is one of the most meaningful decisions you’ll ever make.
Not just someone who excites you today,
but someone who will walk beside you through every season of life and particularly when down.
Someone who helps you build a home filled with shared values, shared purpose, and shared direction.
And here’s a truth many discover only later:
When two people share the same faith, the same prayers, the same festivals, the same understanding of right and wrong,
life becomes simpler, smoother, and harmonious.
A shared religion isn’t just tradition.
It’s a foundation.
